We're coming down from hosting an epic Thursday Night Throwdown and Caffeine Crawl Kick-Off Party a few days ago. Such a good time with so many passionate coffee people. It reminded us, once again, why the coffee world is so awesome - the people! (All 160+ of them squeezed into a space that holds about 70).
After the hectic week, we closed the shops down at 1PM today to give our staff a proper Sunday afternoon off and then we'll reconvene for a little Hucklefam BBQ later in the day. Coffee updates: Colombia Las Brisas is gone. What a lovely coffee, but fear not...we have more coming in from those producers soon, along with future goodies from the Caravela/Virmax folks. Another favorite from this past season, Rwanda Gitesi, is almost gone too, and lastly, our stash of Burundi Colline Ninga is dwindling down to its last few weeks.
A season of changes. The new coffees will be fantastic (new coffees from Ethiopia and Kenya, whoop!), but of course it's sad to see these coffees go. Cheers to the waning summer and the coming cooler weather.
