Phantom Limb and Blue Orchid are Back and Better Than Ever

Phantom Limb and Blue Orchid are Back and Better Than Ever

We've started roasting several new coffees over the past week or so. The Phantom Limb blend is back! This current version of our fruit-forward blend is 80% Long Miles Coffee Project from Burundi and 20% Ardi Natural Process from Sidama, Ethiopia. We use Phantom Limb as espresso in our cafes, and have been tasting heavy red berry and molasses. The Ardi really shines through in cappuccinos, with almond and strawberry milkshake flavors.

Ardi itself is a relatively new arrival, too. We've purchased this coffee from Keffa for three years running, and this year's lot is one of the cleanest naturals we've ever tasted, with mouthwatering flavors of strawberry, jam, and tropical fruit.

Our other new single origin offering is Familia Guerra from Antioquia, Colombia. This 100% Caturra micro-lot has great vanilla and honey sweetness, with subtle white grape underlying flavors.

Finally, after a week away due to some supply issues, Blue Orchid is also back! The blend has changed slightly - Eustagio Sanchez from Peru replaces the Amor de Dios from Bolivia - but the flavor profile remains the same. Full-bodied, with flavors of toffee, nut, caramel, and chocolate.
