Coffee Adventures on the Horizon

Coffee Adventures on the Horizon

We're gearing up for a trip out to Seattle at the end of this week for the SCAA Expo, and if you'll be in town, too, we'd love to connect with you! We'll be brewing Colombia Las Brisas, Rwanda Kigeyo, and Burundi Buhorwa at the Mahlkonig USA booth on Friday and Sunday, and will also be brewing coffee at the Next Wave Coffee Exchange booth on Saturday between cuppings and other meetings. Come by and say hi, and if you're around, we'd love to grab a beer or coffee outside of the Expo with you.

This week we're also going to be roasting our last two batches of Rwanda Kigeyo. This has been one of our favorite coffees this year, both for brewed coffee and espresso, and we're sad to see it go for this season.

After getting back to Denver, we'll be taking a very short, one-week break from Rwanda, before releasing Gitesi, another Rwandan coffee from the Lake Kivu region, and one of our standout coffees from last harvest. We love the unique combination of fruity brightness and syrupy, nutty sweetness that Rwandan Bourbon-variety coffees possess, so we're stoked to be able to roast two great coffees from Rwanda this year.
