The class covers the history of coffee, the supply chain, coffee processing, caffeine and decaffeination, a basic understanding of roasting, and sustainability and certifications. If you have ever wanted to learn how to make the perfect pour over, brew coffee at home, or just want to learn about the science behind coffee extraction, this is the class for you. The class will include a discussion of aforementioned topics, along with practical application for all attendees. We will brew lots of coffee and you will leave knowing how to make a quality cup of coffee on your own! Coffee has an astounding number of possible flavors! Just take a look at the wide variety of tasting notes on our coffee bags. We will cover these flavors through a wide variety of tastings, discussion, and end with a cupping (the standard for evaluating coffee world-wide). We will taste different types of acidity, sweetness, and bitterness, as well as discuss how these flavors work with each other. Come on down to the Workshop at Huckleberry and taste some incredible teas and learn about the joy of tea! We will be tasting through our selection of Spirit Teas, including some new teas for the season. We will also cover tea basics throughout the tasting.
