Brewing Up Summer Coffee Favorites

Brewing Up Summer Coffee Favorites

We're bringing back a fruity and juicy natural process Ethiopian, just in time for the peak of iced coffee season. Ardi has been a perennial favorite of ours, and this year's fresh crop has all of the strawberry, blueberry, and cocoa we've come to love and expect in this coffee, plus a nice burst of refreshing watermelon flavor.

Ardi is consistently one of the best natural Sidamas around, and comes to us from the Biru Bekele washing station in Kilenso Mokonisa, Sidama. Each year our importer, Sam Demisse, puts together the best lots from this station, and insists on extra care during pre-shipment sorting, all of which help make Ardi clean, juicy, and delicious.

The Burundi and Costa Rica have both been tasting really nice, so we'd encourage you to give either a whirl if you haven't yet. We've been brewing a whole bunch of iced coffee for our shops. Our poor ice machines! They do their best "little engine that could" impression, but on those hottest of days, they have a lot of work to do. If you're ever looking for brewing recommendations or coffee recommendations for your iced coffee, don't hesitate to ask. We're in the season when our coffee inventory has a whole bunch of coffees that would make for a tasty iced beverage (be it Japanese, cold brew, flash cooled, etc.). Don't hesitate to ask!
